Cute Bear Biscuit Hugging Nuts

This recipe was introduced by Maa, a Japanese chief specialized in French cuisine. She created this recipe and used to sell them in packages. It is wonderful that her blog includes this recipe so everyone can enjoy this cute biscuit at home! Since recipe is in Japanese, Below you can find the translation of this adorable bear biscuit recipe!

Ingredients: 
110g Cake flour20g potato starch Pinch of salt
(Optional: pinch of Cinnamon powder and cocoa powder)
40g of beet sugar syrup10g Honey30g Salad oil

Instruction: 1. Preheat Oven to 160C or 320F
2. Combine cake flour, potato starch, salt, (and cinnamon) in a bowl with a whisk 
3. In a separate bowl, mix sugar syrup, honey, and salad oil with a whisk until all combined
4. Combine both wet and dry mixture with spatula until it becomes a dough
5. Roll the dough into a sheet

6. Using a Bear cookie cutter, cut out shape of bear 
7. With the tip of chopstick, make holes for eyes and noses
8. Put an almond/Walnut/Cashew on top of the bear's stomach
9. Bending the hand of the bear to hug the nut. Press lightly to make it stay in place.
10. bake for 10 minutes, (for a lighter colored bear bake for 10-15 minutes under 150C/300F)

For a Panda Bear, mix in some cocoa powder with the mixture for eyes, nose, ears, and paws. (See photo below)
